Verse 1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
There is a secret place of God. To dwell means to take residence, to live in.

Verse 2 I will say of the Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
Who is your Lord?
What are you saying?
Don’t “say” fear…don’t talk fear. We understand the severity of what is happening but we confess the God is our refuge.

Verse 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
COVID19 is a noisome pestilence and God will deliver us.

Verse 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler

What truth are you holding on to? Our God is bigger than COVID19.
How you deal with challenges and situations matters.
Follow the safety instructions but don’t go crazy over this.

Verses 5&6 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

This is the time to walk in faith.

Verses 7 & 8 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.

We can analyze this till we are blue in the face but what does the scripture say. We will protect ourselves but we will trust God to preserve us.
Daniel 11:32 says the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

Verses 9 &10
Because you have made the Lord , who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

We will be protected BECAUSE we have made God our refuge

Verses 11 -14
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

Note: don’t jump off the cliff because God promised that angels will bear you in their hands. Don’t tempt God.
Who have you set your love on?

Verses 15 & 16
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

We will call upon God and He will answer us.
This is the time to pray
This is the time to claim the promises of God over yourself and your family.
It’s time to show we are the salt and the light of the world
Smile and tell people it is going to be fine…encourage those that are afraid.
