ABOUT US

OUR MISSION

This Mission statement reveals our basic strategy for the outworking of our Vision.

1. To bring people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ using our weekend programs, special programs and other outreach events

2. To turn new believers into a vibrant and thriving community of passionate followers of Jesus Christ.

3. To provide the right environment and programs necessary for the well-being, growth and development of our members

4. To provide ministry opportunities within and outside the church for people to use their gifts, talents and potential in service to God and humanity

5. To set a standard of excellence in all aspects of the ministry and to encourage people to serve God excellently.

OUR VISION

To raise a vibrant and thriving community of passionate believers who are serving God with their giftedness and impacting their community with the transforming power of the gospel.

OUR VALUES

Our core values are foundational to who we are. They are our guiding light and the principles behind everything we say and do.

As members, you must be intentional about applying them in everyday situations. Let them define everything that our church is about and what it is not about:

1. Loving God (Matthew 22:37 – 40)

Expressed through praise, worship, prayer and Bible study.

2. Loving People (Matthew 22:37 – 40)

Building meaningful relationships within and outside the church.

3. Evangelism (Matthew 28:19 – 20)

Helping those in our circle of influence come into relationship with Christ.

4. Discipleship (Matthew 28:19 – 20)

Teaching obedience to the Word of God in order that we all might be mature in Christ.

5. Service (Mark 10:44 -45; Romans 12:11; Col 3;17)

Serving God excellently with our time, talent, and treasure; all that we are belongs to Christ.

6. Family Focus (Gen 2:21 – 25;1Timothy 5:8)

God established the family first; therefore, we want to minister to the entire family.

OUR HISTORY

THE CHURCH

Pastor Tony Oliha moved from London, England to the Twin Cities in February 1996 to work for Eduserv Inc in St Paul, Minnesota. After about 6 months in Minnesota, he started to seek God’s guidance and direction on whether to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia. It was during this period that he was strongly led by God to remain in the Twin Cities to plant New Wine Church, Twin Cities. In 2013, two other ministries, God is in the House Church and Holy Tabernacle of Praise joined what was then New Wine Church to advance the gospel in Uptown, South Minneapolis.

For over 10 years, Pastor tony Oliha, had been carrying a vision for a ministry whose mission is to represent Christ. In 2017, after due consultation with the leadership of the church, ministry leaders from the Twin Cities and beyond, and through prophetic confirmation, the decision was made to heed to the call for the rebirth of the ministry under a new name – Regents of Christ Assembly.

OUR FOUR CORNERSTONES

Discipleship

Using biblical principles and concepts to present God’s precepts with the aim of modeling and guiding others towards becoming followers of Jesus Christ. 2Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also”.

Fellowship

Creating a spiritual atmosphere that brings together believers for spiritual purposes which include sharing needs, prayer, discussing and sharing the Word with a view to encourage, comfort, and edify one another. Acts 2:42 “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers”.

Stewardship

Developing responsible men and women who are committed to carefully managing the gifts that have been entrusted into their care, by committing one’s self and possessions to God’s service. Luke 19:15 “And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading”.

Leadership

Develop and empower spirit filled individuals to influence our communities and beyond with the power of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity”.
